Full-Time Registered Nurse RN (NOC31301)

Full-time, Permanent 

Fox Flight Inc. uses 15 days on and 15 days off scheduling system. The15 /15 days off include regular days off, statutory holidays, as well as vacation days. In exchange for 7 days off during the Christmas holidays the employee agrees to work on the 31^st day for months that have 31 days. Those who are full-time and have 15 Days off per cycle totals 180 days in the year. Federally regulated employees are given 9 statutory holidays throughout the year. It should be noted that under this system Fox Flight Inc. nurses are allotted 15 days off the first year they are hired.

Employees that have worked at least one consecutive year but less that six are given

two weeks vacation (10 days) per year. Employees that have worked at least six

consecutive years are given three weeks vacation (15 days) per year.

Wage:             CAD $90,000

May be eligible for discretionary increases in line with company policy.

About the role:

Personnel contracted by Fox Flight Inc. Air Ambulance will be responsible for providing quality medical care for patients of Fox Flight. Inc. Individuals holding this position must have certification of registration from their respective Regulatory College and recent/applicable experience in critical care (ER, ICU, CCU).

 Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and exercising professional standards of care.
• Providing all necessary patient related medical care and treatments within their designated scope of practice and following medical direction outlined by Fox Flight Inc.
• Conducting all duties in accordance with individual standards of practice, as outlined by their respective regulatory college.
• Maintaining valid registration from their respective Regulatory College.
• Conducting ongoing assessment of the patient’s condition to critically analyze and consider an individualized direction for care.
• Responsible for appropriate documentation in accordance with Fox Flight Inc. policy and procedures.
• Participate in Fox Flight Inc. Quality Management Committee (QMC).
• Maintaining safety standards set forth by Fox Flight. Inc.
• Exercising effective team player principles.

Qualifications:

• Language of Work: English
• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN)
• A minimum of 2 years of ER (Emergency Department) or ICU (Intensive Care Units) experience treating medically complex patients.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (‘BCLS’) within last 2 years
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (‘ACLS’) within last 2 years
• Maintaining registration with Regulatory Body referred

Pilot Job Post YYZ – Air Ambulance PIC / FO

Job Description: Serve as flight crew member conducting domestic and international medical repatriation flights on the Lear 40XR, based at Toronto Pearson. The candidate will possess the necessary skills to operate efficiently and safely in our International Air Ambulance Program in accordance with Canadian and ICAO regulations and standards. Individuals must be able to work cooperatively with a small team for extended periods, including multi-day deployments away from base. Strong inter-personal skills are essential in this environment due to the sometimes challenging schedule and the nature of our operations.

Pilots with current type ratings will be considered first.

Individuals must meet the following – Qualifications / Certifications:

• Captain
• 4000 hours total flying time
• 500 hours Multi-Engine Turbine experience
• Canadian ATPL
• Valid Group 1 IFR
• Valid Passport with no travel restrictions
• Able to relocate to within 90 minutes of Pearson International Airport
• International experience and jet experience would be considered valuable assets

First Officer

• 2000 hours total flying time
• Canadian CPL/ATPL
• Valid Group 1 IFR
• ATPL/IATRA Exam(s) Written (CPL Candidates)
• Valid Passport with no travel restrictions
• Able to relocate to within 90 minutes of Pearson International Airport

Job Description: Conduct domestic and international air ambulance and commercial patient repatriations. Clinical skills in emergency and/or intensive care, required. This person reports to the Clinical Nurse Specialist, and the Medical Director.
Qualifications / Certifications: (Individuals must meet the following)

• Certificate of Registration, with the College of Nurses (or equivalent, if training outside of Ontario).
• At least, 2 years, recent full time critical care experience (ER, ICU, CCU etc.)
• Current BCLS (within last 2 years)
• Current ACLS (within last 2 years)
• Current PALS (preferred, or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire)
• Current NRP (preferred, or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire)
• Auditing of ATLS course (preferred, or willingness to complete within 6 months of hire)
• Proven leadership ability
• Ability to work independently, and as part of multidisciplinary team
• Excellent assessment / communication / decision making skills
• Speak, read, write fluent English
• Valid Passport

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
