(Toronto, March 1, 2019) — Fox Flight Air Ambulance, a Canadian-owned company specializing in international medical repatriation, was recently reaccredited by the European Aeromedical Institute (EURAMI). The accreditation renewal followed an exhaustive audit and review process and applies to Fox Flight’s long-range, international fixed-wing operations in the Adult Critical Care category and the company’s Commercial Escort services. This is Fox Flight’s third EURAMI reaccreditation; the company first achieved accreditation in 2009.
“After more than 20 years in the medical repatriation business, we take great pride in the systems and procedures we have put in place and the level of service we provide for our clients,” said David Fox, president of Fox Flight. “EURAMI is one of the most respected accreditation organizations in the aeromedical industry, so once again receiving their seal of approval for what we do to help sick and injured individuals get home safely is very gratifying.”
Based in Brussels, Belgium, EURAMI provides accreditation for aeromedical transfer services operating throughout Europe and the world via both fixed-wing and rotor aircraft. The goal of the organization is to promote safe, ethical and quality healthcare and training practices by harmonizing and generalizing European and international standards in aeromedical services. In order to achieve EURAMI accreditation, providers must undergo an extensive analysis of their procedures related to patient care, daily operations, flight and patient documentation, staff training and ongoing aircraft maintenance. By maintaining strict accreditation standards for its member companies, EURAMI helps to promote excellence in aeromedical services worldwide.
